All of the fuss about Acai is just the hype-of-the- month. A little investigation into the supposed miracle of little berry is called for.
As for the anti-oxident properties (which, after all, is the main claim) you can do just as well and for way cheaper.
Costco sells wild blueberries (WILD being the operative word here) in the frozen food section of all of it's warehouses. They are tiny little gems and absolutely loaded with anti-oxidents. Actually, according to the package, you can't do better!
Also I believe that they are natural and organic.
The company which markets acai knows a good scam when it comes down the pike. These folks have quite a gig going. And contracts, yet! Unbelievable!!
Go to Costco (you're always there anyway) and check it out. You commit to nothing except the price of a bag of berries.
Incidently, I'm beginning to wonder about old Oprah. She seems to be very gullible, especially lately.
