Acai Berry complaint by Madraven

Extreme acai berry scam
Page 2

I ordered a free trial of extreme acai berry on Oct 12, it also reccomended a partner in Total Cleanse which I also ordered.

The s&h for the acai berry was $3.95 and the total cleanse was $5.95.

Both stated a free 15 day trial. The receipt stated that estimated delivery date would be Oct. 17.

On Oct 21 when I still had not received my product I tried to call the numbers on the terms for customer service.

(* also note, hidden in the terms, it states that the 15 days may be less depending on delivery time, so NO you aren't getting 15 days from receipt, it is 15 days from ordering.) So 9 days of my 15 have already passed without receiving. Leaving me 6 days to 'try' and still unreceived.

Luckily I tried to call before the 15 day trials expired, because I found that the acai berry phone number is busy all the time accept for after hours when you will get a recording telling you to call during business hours and the phone number for total cleanse wont even go through at all, it just proptly disconnects.

I called my bank right away and reported the fraud and cancelled my card before they charged me the full amt for a month supply when I havent even received the trial.

They have it set up so it is impossible to cancel during the trial period.

I'm sure Opra would be major pissed if she knew they were using her name, and likeness on their website to draw trust from customers.

FRAUD.

I can't believe " SUPPORT" even commented on this... IF things were like they said... this forum wouldn't even exist.... They stick to the same line of crap they tell everybody... that's all they know....maybe they should try to order it themselves and see WTF happens -

Ok, I actually got a call from total clense! I didnt know it was them, it was an 800# on my phone so I returned it. I explained to them how their nubmer kept promptly disconnecting and I still didnt have my product. She told me there was nothing wrong with their phone according to their tech support, it was just the call volume and demand for the product is so great that people are having problems getting through... um ya when that is the case, there is this thing called a 'busy signal' not a disconnection! I'm not stupid!

Anyway, she gave me another number to call, but it is in my car, when I go out today I will bring it back in.

Oh still haven't received my products, she stated they are so inundated with orders they are backed up.

Ya backed up long enough to expire the trial and charge you $80+ bucks!

PS. Someone asked what is the name of the company charging on the credit cards. I think they are trying to confuse us with that too, because the paperwork that comes with the bottle of Acai states 14 Names that we might see on our cards. My particular one I think was "Great On line Diet" But they should not have so many names anyway. The rest are Acai Green Tea Fusion, My VIP Fit, Acai GT Blend, Your VIP Fit, DSM Acai GT, Easy 30 Day thin, Celeb. Fit Site, 30 Day Slim, Simply Pro, Nubodi, Acai Fusion online, and Celebrity Fit Online. Yes, all of those are potentials. I would just watch for the 3.99, or the 89.31. Its funny, they even spell out those prices instead of using numerals to help it not catch your eye in the small print.

UPDATE on Extreme Acai Berry "scam" I finally got through to the 1-800 350-8480 after about 20 minutes. She had my account off the phone number I had entered on the website. She cancelled it for me. I finally told her at the end that "she probably knows that they are sending out the wrong telephone number on the paperwork. She acted very suprised and concerned. I let her know there is a car dealership whom is very upset, and a bunch of upset people on the internet. But I doubt she had anything to do with it, thus who knows if they will fix it.

I have same situation of the Extreme acai berry scam, you only get 15 pills anyway. And the number to cancel was a used car dealership whom was very upset at getting "500" calls today. All I know is there is no website on my trial bottle as someone claims, but there is another 1-8-- number which will put you on hold with some nice music for.... well lets just say I am still on hold. I called my credit card, and spoke to the fraud department, and that particular individual told me he will place a note to just "reverse" the charges from that company each month, and said they would then deal with that company. I am going to call again to clarify that that is really an option. Good luck to everyone. OK it has been 15 minutes of being on hold with the number on my bottle. This probably isn't going to work. Even if they claim to be open until 9pm.

We appreciate forums such as Complaints Board that allow for customers of all products to vent or state their beliefs concerning a given product. We look at it as a great opportunity for us to share our vision and see it only as a positive. We understand your issue and acknowledge there have been others who have shared your same frustration. We recognize we are not perfect, but we are always seeking perfection.

We would like to take a moment and outline our whole marketing concept and emphasize it is very clearly outlined in our Terms and Conditions and made readily available and we actually require persons to verify it has been read BEFORE one chooses to take our sample. We offer a tremendously healthy product, in a trial size, at a greatly reduced price, in order to allow more people an opportunity to try our healthy product that would otherwise never had had the chance. In doing so, our intent is that when an individual tries our sample, they can make a decision as to whether or not they would like to continue to receive the product on a monthly basis. If they like the product, they do nothing and the product continues to come each month. If they choose they no longer want the product, no problem, all they have to do is go to the web address on the bottle (www.gohelpnow.com) and simply cancel the product. This usually takes less than 5 minutes.

We strive to do everything possible to make the product cancellation experience as easy and fast as possible for our customers. In the spirit of good customer relations, we have created a specific avenue for all who wish to give their feedback directly to us by visiting our Customer Support website and clicking on the "We Want to Hear From You" button. We hope this helps to clarify any misconceptions and invite any and all to visit our Customer Support website (www.gohelpnow.com), available 24/7/365 a week, for more information.
